Princeton Head Coach Roger Hughes
"My concern is emotionally getting ready after coming up on the short end of the game last week. Our first concern is to put two good games back to back. Last year, we played well against Harvard, who ended up being undefeated and the League champions, and then played worse in our next game. That is our main concern. We're glad that the game is at night because I think that our team plays better at night and there is a great atmosphere."
"There is a fitness level and there is a game fitness level. I don't want to use it as an excuse [for last week's loss at Lehigh], but we didn't have that level."
"I don't think that it matters who the opponent is, we're just happy to get out on the field and play our second game of the season."
"I like where our program is going. As far as first games go, I think [last week vs. Lehigh] was the best we've had since I've been here. We're focused on our next game."
Defensive End George Pilcher
"Obviously we're disappointed to have lost a game we wanted to win. We're excited to play Lafayette this weekend and that fact that it is a night game. We have a lot of respect for Lafayette. We know we have a lot to improve on and that we made some mistakes that we need to
correct. The coaches have been on us a lot. We'll make every preparation possible to get ready."
Defensive Lineman Jeff Micsky
"As players we feed off of each other. If there comes a time in the fourth quarter, we can look at each other get an extra burst of energy."
"We graduated one good guy from the defensive line last year. I think coming into this year we have a lot more confidence and ability."
Lafayette Head Coach Frank Tavani
"We're certainly excited to play a night game, which is something we don't get much of a chance to do. I think that Princeton proved last week that it is better than people think with an impressive showing at Lehigh."
"We have to be better [than last week against Penn] at making decisions on offense for us to be effective, we need to be hitting on all cylinders offensively."
"I think that Roger [Hughes] has done a great job. He appears to me to be ahead of where we are. As you saw last week, his team created all sorts of problems against one of the best Division I-AA teams in the nation."
