PRINCETON, N.J. - Jeff Hare scored his second header of the weekend in Princeton's 4-1 loss to No. 12 Fairleigh Dicksinson in Teaneck, N.J. The Tigers fall to 5-7-3 overall while the Knights now boast a three game winning streak and an 11-3-1 record.
Fairleigh Dickinson scored first with a goal by senior Jose Gomez in the eighth minute but Princeton answered before the end of the half with Hare's goal in the 21st minute. Marty Shaw crossed a corner kick to Hare who headed in his second goal of the weekend. He also scored off a header in Princeton's 2-1 overtime win over Cornell on Friday.
Antonio Nunziata had two goals for the Knights, who also scored off an own goal in the second half.
Princeton outshot Fairleigh Dickinson 14-11 but Knights' goalkeeper Andrew Nucifora made five saves. Erik White and Bobby Guelich split time in goal for the Tigers and each had two saves.
Princeton travels to Penn next Saturday, Nov. 9 for an 11 a.m. Ivy League game.
