PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Alex Reison scored two goals and added one assist to lead Princeton past Penn 3-1 in a key Ivy League match-up at Rhodes Field. The Tigers improved to 6-7-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the league with just one game remaining in the 2003 regular season.
Reison scored the first goal of the game and the first of his sophomore season to give Princeton a 1-0 lead at halftime. He came out after the break to score another off an assist by Ben Young before Penn got on the board with a goal by Derrick Jumper.
Princeton sealed the win when Reison assisted on a goal by Young, putting the Tigers ahead for good, 3-1.
The Tigers have a chance to finish as high as second place in the Ivy League and with a .500 overall record when they host Yale next weekend. Princeton and Yale meet on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 4 p.m. on Lourie-Love Field.
