Joe Weiss Named To Division I-AA Academic All-Star Team

Senior defensive end Joe Weiss has been named to the Division I-AA Academic All-Star Team, it was announced Dec. 22 by the Athletic Directors Association. Weiss has been honored for his production on and off the field since the end of the 2003 season, another brilliant one by the Somers Point, N.J., native.
Weiss, who will graduate in 2003 with a degree in economics, was named to his first Academic All-Star team after earning Academic All-District honors during both his junior and senior years. He has also been named to the All-Ivy first team in each of the last two seasons, including a unanimous selection this year.
Weiss was second on the team this year with 73 tackles and led Princeton with 16 tackles for loss and four sacks.
