Princeton, N.J. - Freshman Rebecca Brown was named the Ivy League Rookie of the Week today after an efficient weekend for a Tiger squad that went 1-1 and improved its conference mark to 2-3. Brown scored 40 combined points against Cornell and Columbia while leading the team in rebounds.

Brown scored 22 points on 9-for-14 shooting and six rebounds in Friday night's loss to Colmbia. She then scored 18 points and pulled down eight boards in Princeton's win over Cornell. For the week, she averaged 20 points and seven rebounds while shooting 17-for-26 from the field, raising her League-leading average to .592.

Brown and the Tigers travel to Providence this Friday to take on the Brown Bears. Princeton will face Brown on Friday and Yale on Saturday. Both games are at 7 p.m. and can be heard live on WBUD AM 1260.
