Patterson, Calif. - The Princeton University men's golf team is in fourth place after two rounds at the 2003 Diable Grande Intercollegaite in Patterson, Calif. The Tigers completed day one of the tournament with a team score of 623.
"Difficult conditions brought on by wind contributed to some high scores," says Princeton Head Coach Will Green. "We've also had a harsh winter in New Jersey and need some time to get back into the swing of things."
Senior Cassidy Traub looked sharp with a first-round score of 70. He finished the day with a 149 to place him among the top five individuals.
Wisconsin is leading the tournament with scores of 301-289/590, and Boise State is second at 304-302/605. Princeton's team rounds were 304 and 319 to place them in the top half of the nine-team field.
The final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
