PRINCETON, N.J. - Zak Keasey has been ruled academically ineligible and is not currently enrolled at Princeton University, the University announced today.
Keasey, a 2002 first-team All-Ivy selection and the leading tackler on the football team last season, will not play for Princeton during the 2003 football season. Currently a junior, Keasey is eligible to return to Princeton in the future.
"We're very disappointed by what has occurred," Princeton head coach Roger Hughes said. "Certainly, we will miss his athleticism. We look forward to his return to the team in the future."
