CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The women's water polo team finished in fourth place at the Eastern Championships when it lost, 9-5, to Michigan at Harvard's Blodgett Pool. The Tigers had a 5-3 halftime lead but went scoreless in the second half.
Adele McCarthy-Beauvais scored two goals while Jenny Edwards, Megan Donahue, and Kathryn Parolin each chipped in one. Madeline McCarthy made five saves for the Tigers.
"This was a disappointing finish," head coach Luis Nicolao said. "We played well but had tough breaks."
The Tigers end their 2003 season with a 22-7 overall record. Jenny Edwards and Adele McCarthy-Beauvais were named to the All-South first team while Megan Donahue was named the league Freshman of the Year.
