No. 12 Women's Water Polo Drops No. 18 Marist, 11-9

POUGHKEEPSIE – The No. 12 Princeton Women's Water Polo used fourth quarter goals from Shanna Davidson and Ava Houlahan to down the No. 18 Marist Red Foxes, 11-9, at McCann Natatorium on Thursday.
After Marist's Anita Radaelli tied the game at 9-all with 7:10 to go, Davidson quickly answered 21 seconds later to provide the eventual game-winner. Lindsey Lucas and the strong Princeton defense kept Marist off the board before Houlahan put the game away with 59 seconds to go.
The Tigers started quickly with three of the first four tallies and led 4-2 after the first quarter. Marist got within one, but Princeton ended the first half with goals from Davidson, Didi Evans and Golub to set the score at 7-3 at the break.
Marist used a 4-1 spurt to close the gap to one, 8-7, before Olivia Krotts answered the run. The Tigers led 9-8 as the fourth frame began.
Davidson led the offense with four goals while Krotts added a hat trick in the win.
Princeton finishes the regular season at 22-5 overall. If Harvard defeats Brown on Saturday, the Crimson will be the No. 1 seed in the CWPA Tournament while Princeton will be the No. 2 seed. If Brown wins, the Tigers will earn the No. 1 spot.
