Princeton football will be broadcast on MoneyTalk 1350, WHWH radio this season.
Ed Benkin will return as the play-by-play voice of the Tigers as part of his ninth season of broadcasting Princeton athletics. Jerry Price, in his 17th year broadcasting Ivy League sports, will again be the color commentator.
"We're thrilled to have Princeton back on WHWH," says Josh Gertzog, Vice President and Director of Sales at Nassau Broadcasting. "You say the name Princeton University, and you think class. It's great to have the Tigers on Moneytalk1350."
In addition, Princeton's broadcasts in football and all sports will be available on the University's official athletics Web site www.goprincetontigers.com. Unlike a year ago, there will be no charge for any of these broadcasts.
"We felt it was important to go back to the old model of Webcasting for free," says Price, also the University's Director of Athletic Communications. "We want to have the widest audience possible, and this is obviously the best way to go about that."
Princeton football will have eight of its 10 games televised. CN8 will televise the Lehigh (Sept. 20), Harvard (Oct. 25) and Penn (Nov. 8) games, while YES network will televise the Brown (Oct. 18) and Yale (Nov. 15) games as part of its Ivy League package. The YES games can also be seen on DIRECTV. Patriot Media (formerly RCN) will once again televise Princeton's home games.
Princeton's game against Harvard has been moved from a 1 p.m. start to a 12 p.m. start.
