Princeton, N.J. - Scott Sallach, former assistant coach at Dartmouth, has been hired as an assistant coach at Princeton, it was announced this week by head football coach Roger Hughes. Sallach will coach the wide receivers, replacing Cody Deti, who left to coach at Eastern Kentucky. Sallach will also serve as head coach of the junior-varsity team.
Sallach has been at Dartmouth since 1998, where he coached the wide receivers and assisted with the special teams, specializing in kickoffs and kickoff returns. He also assisted in recruiting during his five years at Dartmouth, and was the summer camp director since 2000. Sallach worked with Hughes and current offensive coordinator Dave Rackovan before the two of them came to Princeton before the 2000 season.
Sallach, who graduated from Ursinus in 1994 with a degree in exercise and sport science, took his first football job at Hamilton College in 1996 as an assistant football coach. After one season, he spent three years at Monmouth as an assistant coach. In both positions, Sallach was responsible for coaching wide receivers.
