Juan Valdivieso Places Third At USA Swimming Championship

College Park, Md. - Princeton senior Juan Valdivieso has earned bronze at the 2003 ConcoPhillips National Swimming and Diving Championships in College Park Md. Valdivieso is currently the only Ivy League swimmer to finish in the Top-3 at this year's meet.
Valdivieso swam a 2:00.03 in the 200-meter butterfly final after recording a 2:00.92 in the morning preliminary race. Brian Johns of Canada won the race in a time of 1:59.29.
Princeton's Justin Chiles, who competed in the 400-meter freestyle preliminary this morning, did not advance to today's final in the event.
The ConcoPhillips National Swimming and Diving Championships conclude on Saturday, August 9.
