Farrell Named Ivy Women's Soccer Rookie Of The Week

Meghan Farrell has been named the first Ivy League women's soccer Rookie of the Week for the 2003 season.
Farrell, from Wissihickon High outside of Philadelphia, scored her first collegiate goal as Princeton defeated American 4-1 in its season opener Saturday afternoon.
The defending Ivy League champion Tigers open their home schedule this weekend when they host the Princeton Invitational. The two Friday games will feature Penn against Saint Louis at 5 and Princeton against UNC Greensboro at 7:30. The matchups for Sunday will see Penn meet UNC Greensboro at noon, followed by Princeton-Saint Louis at 2:30. Admission is free.
Saint Louis brings a 3-0 record into the event, having outscored its opponents 8-0. Penn is 1-0 after an opening win over Lafayette (not including a Tuesday game against Seton Hall), while UNC Greensboro is 1-1-1.
