Men's Golf Third After Two Rounds of JMU Invitational

Harrisonburg, Va. - The Princeton men's golf team sits third overall after competing in the first two rounds of the James Madison Invitational Saturday at the Lakeview Golf Course. John Sawin is currently the top Tiger on the indivudal leaderboard as he is currently tied for fifth.
Sawin shot a 66 in the first round, the low score of the round, and tied for the low score of the tournament. His second-round 73 gives him a 139 which puts him five strokes behind Rutgers' Brent Pittman, the overall leader.
Rutgers also sits atop the team rankings with a collective 556 after rounds of 285 and 271. Towson (282-281-563), Princeton (281-285), James Madison (290-281-571) and Longwood (293-279-572) round out the top five spots in the 15-team field.
Behind Sawin, Creighton Page is currently tied for 12th (72-69-141), Brent Herlihy sits in a tie for 14th (73-69-142), Jason Gerken is tied for 27th (70-75-145) and John Locke is tied for 47th (73-74-147).
The tournament concludes tomorrow with the third and final round.
