Princeton, N.J. -- Freshman Meagan Cowher earned her first Ivy League Rookie of the Week honor, Monday, after she posted a double-double in Princeton's 57-52 overtime victory against Monmouth.

Cowher started her first collegiate game in the season-opener at Jadwin Gym last Friday night. In her college debut she scored 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. She added three points and a crucial rebound, off a missed lay-up by the Hawks with eights seconds left, in the overtime period.

Cowher becomes Princeton's first player of the week this season and was one of two Tigers (Katy Digovich, 17) to score in double figures in the win over Monmouth.

Princeton faces Lehigh, Tuesday, Nov. 23 at 7 p.m. in Bethlehem, Pa.
