Princeton, N.J. -- Freshman Meagan Cowher earned back-to-back Ivy League Rookie of the Week accolades on Monday and has claimed three of the four honors deemed by the league this season.
Cowher scored 12 points against Rutgers, in the 68-46 loss at the RAC last Wednesday. She also grabbed four rebounds, made two assists and garnered one steal in the contest.
Cowher currently ranks second among her teammates in points (11.2) and rebounds (4.7) per game. She is also sixth among her peers in the Ivy League in field goal percentage (.448).
Her first accolade came after she made her collegiate debut with a double-double, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds in the overtime thriller against Monmouth, while her second came last week after she rallied 15 points in the 63-53 win over Wagner.
Princeton (2-4) returns to Jadwin Gym tomorrow night when they host St. Mary's (4-4) at 7 p.m. Tuesday marks the first contest between the Tigers and Gaels and can be heard at goprincetontigers.com.
