Men's Tennis Defeats Boston College, Saint Joseph's by 6-1 scores

The Princeton men's tennis team returned to Jadwin Gym Sunday for its first home matches of the spring and took advantage of its home courts, defeating Boston College and Saint Joseph's by identical 6-1 scores to improve to 3-4 on the spring season.
In the morning, against the Eagles, the Tigers lost a total of 22 games in singles on the way to six straight set victories. No. 6 Tim Kofol lost just one game in his singles match and then joined freshman Sratha Saengsuwarn to lose just one game in an 8-1 at No. 2 doubles. Princeton's No. 3 doubles team of Andrew Lieu and Hans Plukas also earned an 8-1 victory over Ross Pytko and Derrick Chou.
In the afternoon, against the Hawks, Princeton changed its lineup but still had similar results. In his first appearance at the No. 1 position, Dan Friedman defeated St. Joe's Francisco Velazquez 6-3 and 6-2. At the No. 3 doubles spot, Shannon Morales and Blaise Goswami earned a victory in their first appearance of the spring, an 8-4 win over Chris Spencer and Antonio Aniello. At No. 1 doubles, Friedman and Craton won by an impressive 8-0 score over Velazquez and Van Homer Pangilinan. Morales also picked up a win at No. 5 singles against the Hawks, a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Aniello. The Tigers return to action next Saturday, hosting George Washington (11 am) and Stony Brook (5 pm) at the Jadwin Courts.
