SAN DIEGO - The No. 59 University of Denver women's tennis team extended its winning streak to nine matches after sweeping Princeton 7-0 this afternoon in San Diego, Calif. The Pioneers improved their record to 12-1 on the season.
Junior Yanick Dullens (Susteren, Netherlands), sophomore Suzana Maksovic (Helsingborg, Sweden), sophomore Jenny Trettin (Berlin, Germany), junior Barbara Kourim (Dallas, Texas) and freshman Rachel Sackmaster (Alpharetta, Ga.) each won their respective singles and doubles matches. Senior Beth Messaros (Sr., Gahanna, Ohio) also contributed with a victory in three rounds at No. 6 singles. Freshman Marisa Mechem (Fredericksburg, Texas) teamed with Sackmaster to defeat Princeton's Mateva McCoy and Joanna Roth, 8-5, at No. 3 doubles.
