Heavyweight Crew Retains Childs Cup With Ease

PELHAM, N.Y. - The Princeton heavyweight crew won its 37th Childs Cup Saturday on the 125th anniversary of the first competition between Princeton, Penn and Columbia. The Tigers took their 11th straight Childs Cup with ease, topping Penn by nearly 16 full seconds.
Princeton's second and third varsity both topped Penn's second boat, but the Quakers won both freshman races. It was the first time the top Princeton novice boat did not win a race since 2002.
Princeton will race against Harvard and MIT next Saturday.
