Heavies To Have Eight Alumni Participate At World Rowing Championships

PRINCETON – The Princeton Men's Heavyweight Team will have eight alumni at the 2026 World Rowing Championships starting on Monday in Amsterdam.
Nate Phelps '23 (8+) and Andy LeRoux '20 (alternate) will represent the United States while David Bewicke-Copley '20 (8+) and Theo Bell '26 (alternate) will represent Great Britain.
Patrick Long '25 will row in Australia's eight while Jonas Juel '22 will row for Norway (1x).
Tassilo von Mueller '21 (8+) and Hanno Brach '24 (alternate) will go the championships for Germany.
Princeton assistant coach Sergio Espinoza will coach the United States 8+ after leading the 4- to bronze at the U23 World Championships in July.
Racing gets underway on Monday (Aug. 24) and goes through Aug. 30. It's already been an outstanding summer for the heavyweight team has the program had nine rowers secure medals at the U23 World Rowing Championships last month including four goal medals.
