Princeton, N.J. - Princeton senior catcher Tim Lahey was chosen as the Ivy League Player of the Week after a monsterous week at the plate. He batted .500 in four games during the week to lift his average by 53 points. On Saturday he set a Princeton record for home runs in a game as he belted three of them in the second game of the doubleheader. It was a huge week altogether for Lahey. He went a combined 8-for-16 with nine RBIs, seven runs scored, four home runs, two doubles and five walks.
Freshman pitcher Gavin Fabian was named to the league's honor roll. In Game 1 on Sunday at Columbia, Fabian needed just 81 pitched to dispose of the Lions. He surrendered just one run on five hits as he improved to 3-2 on the seasons. His performance lowered his ERA to 2.52 and in 50 innings of work, he has just two walks. He was named the league's rookie of the week on March 30.
