Women's Track Participates at Larry Ellis Invitational

The Princeton women's track team had one of its strongest performances of the season at Saturday's Larry Ellis Invitational, getting big victories in several events in preparation for next weekend's Ivy League Heptagonal meet.
The Tigers had their typical strong performances in the distance and middle distance events, with Cack Ferrell taking the 1,500 meters in 4:29.09 and Liz Morse winning the 800 meters in 2:09.70. Carrie Strickland also had a strong performances in the steeplechase, finishing in first place in a time of 10:37.44.
In the sprints, Chanel Lattimer and Hasina Outtz were the top two college finishers in the 200 meters in times of 24.7 and 25.1, respectively. Laura Landry took the 400 meters in 59.69. Princeton also outdistanced Columbia in the 4X100 meter relay.
In the field events, Amy Krilla and Molly Jones were the top collegiate finishers in the javelin and triple jump, respectively, while Chelo Canino cleared 12 feet, 3.5 inches to win the pole vault.
Several Princeton athletes will compete in Tuesday's Broadmeade Invitational at Weaver Track before heading to next weekend's Ivy League Heptagonal meet at Brown University.
