West Lafayette, Ind. - The Princeton men's golf team shot a collective 323 (+35) in the first round of the 2004 NCAA Men's Golf Central Regional at the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex. Oklahoma State, the only team under par for the tournament at 287 (-1), leads the field after 18 holes. Texas A&M, Purdue, Texas and Kentucky complete the top five.
Jason Gerken, the 2003 Ivy League champion, leads the Tigers on the leaderboard in a tie for 79th with a 79 (+7). Greg Johnson and John Sawin come next in the rundown. The two shot 81's for the day and are tied with others for 99th (+9). Creighton Page posted a 10-over 82 and is tied at 110, while John Locke sits in 141st with an 88 (+16).
