A wonderful 2004 season, including an undefeated Ivy League schedule and an Eastern title, ended just short of history Sunday morning. In the final of the Remenham Challenge at the annual Henley Championships, the Princeton open crew fell to the Thames Rowing Club and University of London.
Princeton, which defeated Osiris Boat Club in the quarterfinals and the University of British Columbia & University of Victoria, Canada in the semifinals, fell by three lengths in Sunday's final. The Tigers were looking to bring home Princeton's first women's title at Henley, but they still equalled the best ever finish by a women's crew at Henley.
