PRINCETON, N.J. -- Freshman Meagan Cowher averaged 23.5 points last week and earned Rookie of the Week for the fourth time this season, as announced by the Ivy League.
As the team's leading scorer, Cowher shot 13 for 17 from the floor and recorded a home-rookie record with 28 points and nine rebounds in the Saint Peter's victory.
Two night later against Army she tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds for her second double-double of the season.
Cowher's 28 points in the Saint Peter's game fell short of teammate Becky Brown's 31 points at Columbia on March 8, 2003 for the rookie title, but was two points better than Claire B. Tomasiewicz's 26 points on March 5, 1976 against Mercy College.
This marks the fourth time in seven weeks Cowher has earned this honor.
