Former Tiger Player Sam Elliott Stars in Point Pleasant

Former Princeton baseball player Sam Elliott '98, now Page, stars in the new FOX drama, Point Pleasant, which premieres on Thursday, January 20 at 9 p.m. Page plays the role of Jesse Palmer, a local lifeguard, in the drama, which takes place in Point Pleasant, N.J.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, as Sam Elliott, Sam Page graduated from Princeton in 1998 with a B.A. in ecology and evolutionary biology. For his senior thesis, Page wrote about the mating habits of a female mosquito; the work was published in a science journal.
During his time at Princeton, Page was also a member of the baseball team, playing in 21 games and batting .314 in limited action.
After graduation, Page went on to star in the films "Prisoners of the Dead" and "The Brotherhood." He also landed a recurring role on The WB's "7th Heaven" and appeared on NBC's "Hangtime." His most recognizable role came as Trey Shepperd on the ABC soad "All My Children."
In 2002, People Magazine named Page to their Most Eligible Bachelors list.
