Princeton Falls to Clemson in Men's Tennis, 6-1

CLEMSON, S.C. - The Princeton men's tennis team ended its early-season trip to the Southeast with a 6-1 defeat at Clemson Saturday morning in South Carolina.
Princeton (1-2) earned its point by winning two of the three doubles matches, each by 9-7 scores. Josh Burman and Darius Craton defeated Nathan Thompson and Clement Reix at No. 1, while sophomore Ted Mabrey and freshman Ashwat Sarohia took the No. 3 doubles match over Ian Keeler and Clint Boling.
Clemson won all six singles matches, five coming in straight sets. Hans Plukas won the first set at No. 4 against Clemson's Brett Twente, but Twente came back to win the final two sets, 7-5 and 6-2. Both Sratha Saengsuwarn at No. 3 and Sarohia at No. 5 played tough matches, but fell 6-4 and 7-5. Princeton next plays in two weekends at home.
