Men's Golf Fourth After Day One of Hoya Invitational

Leesburg, Va. - The Princeton men's golf team sits fourth overall after the first round of the Hoya Invitational played Saturday afternoon. Jason Gerken is tied for seventh in the standings with the final round scheduled for tomorrow.
Princeton shot a 296 in the round to place fourth. Eastern Michigan leads the field with a 288. Maryland is second with a 289 and Penn State's 294 ranks third in the field of 12 teams.
Gerken is Princeton's top individual in the standings following his even-par round of 72. John Sawin and Andrew Maliniak are tied for 14th after shooting two-over par. Brent Herlihy is tied for 31st after shooting a 76, and Jesse Disxon was two strokes behind that in 43rd with a 78.
