Siebel, King Lead Tigers at ITA Regional Event

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Princeton's Jessica Siebel and Ivana King advanced to the Round of 16 of the main doubles draw at the ITA Eastern Regional event at the U.S. Military Academy to lead several Tigers in action at the event.
In singles, senior Alison Hashmall won a first-round match in the main draw against Manhattan's Jennifer Fowler before falling in the second round.
Siebel and King won a tough 8-6 match against a Virginia Tech team in the first round before dominating Alex Seaton and Lilien Vo of Colgate 8-3 in the second round. Columbia's Nina Suda and Marlena Hall defeated Siebel and King in the Round of 16.
Siebel also played in the main singles draw, falling to Harvard's Stephanie Schnitter by scores of 6-2 and 7-6.
Hashmall had advanced to the main draw thanks to to wins in the qualifying draw. She defeated Boston College's Lindsey Nash in the first round before qualifying for the main draw with a straight-set win over Army's Brooke Jones.
Sophomore Christine Kansky, as well as the doubles team of Darcy Robertson and Joanna Roth, also played in the qualifying draws. Robertson and Roth won a first-round match against a team from Columbia.
