The Princeton men's tennis team improved to 4-2 on the spring season with a 6-1 win over Stony Brook at the Jadwin Gym tennis courts Saturday morning.
Princeton won five of six singles matches, with four of them coming in straight sets and essentially clinching the match.
Darius Craton lost just three games in a win over Tal Meir at No. 2, while Hans Plukas fought off Michael Crooks at No. 3, winning 6-4 and 6-3. Shannon Morales defeated David Kortum at No. 5, 6-4 and 6-1, while freshman Jonathan Leslie earned his first win of the spring with an easy victory at No. 6 over Matt Jacobson. The Tigers won a hotly constested doubles point thanks to a tough 9-7 victory at No. 2 by Andrew Lieu and Plukas.
At No. 1 singles, Josh Burman split sets with Jan Krejci, ranked No. 96 in the country, before Krejci won a pro-set victory to take the match.
