Women's Basketball Heads To Penn Tonight

PRINCETON, N.J. - Casey Lockwood and the women's basketball travel to nearby Philadelphia, Pa., Tuesday night as they face Ivy foe Penn at 7 p.m. The game can be heard at goprincetontigers.com.
Princeton Game Notes
Reflection Time - Princeton swept its home games this past weekend with a win over Yale, 75-49 on Friday and then one over Brown, 53-50 on Saturday. The Tigers are now 4-5 in the conference and 12-10 on the season. Freshman Ariel Rogers scored a career-high 14 points in the Brown game, while juniors Katy O'Brien and Lauren Nestor recorded double-doubles in the Yale victory. Scouting the Quakers - Penn is 5-4 in the conference and is 12-10 overall. This past weekend the Quakers fell to both Brown 76-69 and Yale 74-64 (OT) at home. Jennifer Fleischer is averaging 11.5 points and 11 rebounds a game for Penn.
The Sequel - The last time Princeton met Penn, the two teams played into a double-overtime. Penn won by two after scoring six points in the second extra period. Junior Becky Brown scored 20 points and secured nine rebounds for the Tigers.
1,2 Combination - Freshman Meagan Cowher and junior Becky Brown are the only players at or above 50% on the team as they lead the squad in field goal percentages with .512 and .506, respectively.
Making a Splash - Freshman Ariel Rogers was named this week's Rookie of the Week by the Ivy League. She scored 13 points on Friday and then tallied a personal-best with 14 points in the win over Brown. Rogers grabbed a combined 12 rebounds in two games and also earned her first start of the season on Saturday.
New Feature - Sophomore Lillie Romeiser has started five of the last six contests at guard for the Tigers. Prior to that Romeiser averaged four minutes a game on the season.
Homeland Security - After dropping the first three home matches in conference action, Princeton rallied to upend Yale and return a loss to Brown. The Tigers are now 7-4 at home leading into their final two home games of the season, this weekend.
Over Milestone Hill - With a team-high 16 points Becky Brown broke the 1,000-point plateau in the first game against Yale this season. As a junior, Brown become the 14th Tiger in program's history to do so.
Feeding The Posts - Junior Katy O'Brien is second in the league with 4.27 assists per game. O'Brien has dished out 94 assists this season and is 11 shy of breaking into the Top 10 all-time assist category. She dropped a career-high 10 dimes in the Brown contest.
Early 20s - Junior Becky Brown has scored 20 points or more in seven games this season. The games includes Mount St. Mary's (21 pts), Fairleigh Dickinson (20 pts), Army (23 pts), Lafayette (24 pts), Penn (20), Cornell (20), Yale (20).
Free-bees - Sophomore Katy Digovich has earned 48 attempts to the foul line and leads the team with a .813 percentage from the charity stripe among players with more than 20 opportunities. With only eight seconds to play in the last Brown contest, Digovich stepped to the free throw line and calmly made both attempts to tie the ball game at 62.
Lights Out - Junior Katy O'Brien has nailed 50 threes this season and is currently tied atop the conference with 2.27 treys a game. O'Brien needs only three more made baskets from outside the arc to earn another single-season Top 10 position.
Cleaning The Glass - Princeton outrebounded both Yale and Brown, 78-70 and outscored them in second chance points, 25-17.
Gone With The Wind - Junior Katy O'Brien leads all Tigers with 41 steals on the season. Sophomore Elyse Umeda has chipped in 32 steals this season.
Dominate the Paint - Princeton has dominated the paint during its Ivy play by scoring 216 points in the paint. Conference opponents combined for 146 points underneath the rim in nine games.
Longing To Return - Sophomore Casey Lockwood made her season debut at Lafayette. Lockwood played 11 minutes in the matchup and returned to the lineup after recovering from a torn ACL from last season. She scored nine points and grabbed a rebound in her first four minutes of action.
