Women's Fencing Sweeps Five-Team Meet

PRINCETON, N.J. -- Women's fencing swepts a five-team meet on Saturday in Jadwin. The Tigers defeated Haverford 23-4, James Madison 23-4, Fairleigh Dickinson 21-6 and Cornell 18-9. Princeton's record improves to a 6-3 record.
In the sabre junior Caroline Block led the charge with a 15-6 rally over Haverford. Sophomores Mina Morova and Elan DiMaio were 15-4 against Cornell and 15-3 against Fairleigh Dickinson, respectively.
Epee bouter Kira Hohensee was 15-2 against Haverford and sophomore Erin McGarry was 13-7 in the Cornell battle. Freshmen Jane Yum and Peri Rosenstein tallied a 10-6 record against James Madison and a 5-0 score in the Fairleigh Dickinson meetings, respectively.
Junior Jacqueline Leahy was a perfect 15-0 against Fairleigh Dickinson in the foil, while sophomore Sara Jew-Lim was 15-3 in the Haverford face-off. Freshman Linsay Jenkins finished 15-8 against Fairleigh Dickinson.
Princeton resumes action on Wednesday, Feb. 9 in Philadelphia, Pa as they face Penn.
