Women's Fencing Splits Meet At Penn

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - Junior Jacqueline Leahy went a perfect 6-0 Wednesday, as the women's fencing team outlasted Temple 15-12 but fell to Penn 20-7 at Weightman Hall. The Tigers record stands at 7-4 following the split.
Before the epee, Princeton trailed the Owls 10-8. Then in the final weapon, the team of junior Kira Hohensee, sophomore Erin McGarry and freshman Jane Yum all went 2-1 and secured the match for the Tigers.
Against Penn, the Tigers fell in all three weapons. The Quakers won the sabre 9-0 and the epee 6-3. Despite Leahy winning all three of her bouts Princeton also fell 5-4 in the foil.
The Tigers will travel to Cambridge, Mass. on Saturday, Feb. 12 as they face Harvard, Yale and Penn at 10 a.m.
