Men's Tennis Falls to 33rd-ranked San Diego, 6-1

SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Princeton men's tennis team fell to 33rd-ranked San Diego by a 6-1 score Thursday afternoon at the USD West Tennis Courts. The win was San Diego's eighth straight, while the Tigers fell to 8-3 on the year and saw a seven-match winning streak come to an end.
Princeton got off to a solid start in doubles when Josh Burman and Darius Craton easily won at No. 1, but the Toreros took the Nos. 2 and 3 doubles spots to earn the doubles point. San Diego then earned straight-set singles victories at Nos. 1, 2 and 4 to clinch the match.
Princeton's Andrew Lieu won at No. 5 singles for the Tigers. He split sets with USD's Thomas Liversage before winning a deciding tiebreak by an 11-9 score. At No. 3, Sratha Saengsuwarn of Princeton took his match with Mirza Koristovic into a third set before Koristovic won an exciting 12-10 tiebreak to take the match.
Princeton continues its Spring Break trip to California with a match against Utah in San Diego Friday afternoon.
