Young Earns First MLB Win of 2005

Former Princeton baseball and basketball standout Chris Young earned his first win of the 2005 Major League Baseball season on Sunday afternoon when his Texas Rangers defeated the Toronto Blue Jays 6-5. Young tossed five and two-thirds innings in the game, allowing four runs on six hits to pick up the fifth win of his career. Young is also the subject of an article in the most-recent issue of ESPN The Magazine.
Young is 1-1 on the season with a 7.62 ERA in 13 innings pitched. He has made three starts and will next take the mounf this Friday, April 22, in the American League park that is closest to his home college field, Yankee Stadium, against the New York Yankees. The Rangers will also play at Philadelphia this season.
