Princeton Falls to Columbia in Women's Tennis, 5-2

NEW YORK - After rallying to win the doubles point in a 10-4 tiebreak at No. 3, Columbia won three singles matches in straight sets on the way to a 5-2 victory over Princeton in an Ivy League women's tennis match played at the Dick Savett Center Friday afternoon.
Princeton (9-9, 3-3 Ivy) saw five of the six singles matches go past six games in at least one set, but the Lions, who improved to 3-3 in the league, won three of those matches.
Princeton got singles wins from Alison Hashmall at No. 3 and Ivana King at No. 6. King won in a second-set tiebreak.
Columbia clinched the match when Kara Worsley defeated Joanna Roth 6-4 and 7-6 at No. 5 singles.
The Tigers' King and Jessica Siebel won at No. 1 doubles, but Columbia clinched the doubles point when Kendall Murphy and Kara Worsley forced a tiebreak at No. 3 against Stephanie Berg and Rankin Williams.
Princeton concludes its season Sunday afternoon, hosting Cornell at 2 p.m. at the Lenz Tennis Center.
