Women's Water Polo Advances to Southern Championship Game With Wins

Lewisburg, Pa. - The Princeton women's water polo team used convincing wins over Maryland and Salem International on Saturday to win Group A and advance to the 2005 Southern championship game. Princeton defeated Maryland 12-4 to start the day and topped Salem 10-1 later in the day.
Princeton will now face Bucknell at 11:30 a.m., tomorrow morning in the title game. The Bison was the second seed entering the tournament. The two teams met twice in the regular season, winning by scores of 9-5 and 9-4. The tournament is being played at Bucknell's Kinney Natatorium.
