Princeton, N.J. - Junior Erik Stiller was named the Ivy League Pitcher of the Week on Wednesday for his performance on Tuesday against Brown. Stiller pitched his second consecutive shutout he defeated Brown 4-0. He allowed just three hits in the complete-game win and struck out a career-high 11 batters. The award is the second for Stiller in his career.
Stiller improved to 3-1 with the win and has not allowed a run in his last 21 innings on the mound. He has the team's best ERA at 2.10. On Tuesday, he recorded 11 of his 21 outs by way of the strikeout, including the last six batters he faced.
Stiller was named the New Jersy College Baseball Association Pitcher of the Week last weekend. Juniors Andrew Salini and Ryan Eldridge have been named the NJCBA Players of the Week earlier this season.
