Freshman Agatha Offorjebe won the 300 meters and placed second in the 60 meters, leading five Princeton individual winners overall, as the Tigers competed in the 2006 Princeton Relays held at Jadwin Gymnasium Sunday afternoon.
Offorjebe's time of 41.50 seconds was good for a victory in the 300 meters, just ahead of another Princeton freshman, Karen Okigbo, who was second in 41.79 seconds. Offorjebe's time of 7.91 seconds in the 60 meters was a close second behind Rutgers' Shameka Marshall.
The Tigers also had another winner in a 60-meter event in Annie Santi, who took the 60 meter hurdles in a time of 9:04.
Head coach Peter Farrell's team had its usual strong performance in the distance events Sunday, with Claire Filloux winning the 3,000 meters in 10:12.28 and Caitlin McTague and Rachel Farnsworth finishing third and fourth respectively in the event. Jen Johnson was a strong second in the mile, completing the eight laps in 5:09.16.
In the field events, two Princeton athletes were winners on Sunday. Meredith Mante's leap of 11 feet, 6 inches (3.50 meters) won the pole vault event, while Molly Jones's triple jump of 11.66 meters (38 feet, 3 1/4 inches) won that eent. The distance medley relay event also went to the Tigers, with Princeton's "A" group winning the event in 11:52.23.
