Princeton athletes were winners in five events on the track and two more in the field during the 2006 Princeton Invitational indoor track meet Saturday afternoon at Jadwin Gym.
Annie Santi had a fast time of 8.91 seconds to win the 60 meter hurdles in one of the day's top performances for the Tigers. Princeton also won two other sprint events--Juliette Poussot took the 200 meters in 25.51, while Leanne Bellar won the 400 meters, running the two laps at the Jadwin track in 59.55.
In the field, Christina Argyros was the winner in the high jump event, leaping 1.65 meters (5 feet, 5 inches). Jessica Kloss won the pole vault for Princeton with a clearing of 3.70 meters (12 feet, 1 1/2 inch).
Tiger runners took the top three spots in the 500 meter run. Jordan Wagenseller was first in 1:16.93, while Mawusi Arnett was second in 1:18.22. Liz Bergold finished the top three in a time of 1:19.06.
Karen Aherne was the top collegiate runner in the 1,000 meters, running the five laps in 2:59.46.
Princeton competes at the Ivy League Heptagonals next weekend at Dartmouth.
