PRINCETON, N.J. - Meagan Cowher, a sophomore forward on the Princeton women's basketball team, will be interviewed live on Pittsburgh's KDKA-AM 1020 at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The news-talk station can be heard across the eastern two-thirds of the U.S. and Canada. Interested listeners can also hear the interview online at www.kdkaradio.com. Cowher's father, Bill, the head coach of the Pittsburgh Steelers, has reached the Super Bowl for the second time in his career. Meanwhile, Meagan has helped lead the Tigers to their best 16-game record since 1988 at 12-4. Princeton is also 3-0 in the Ivy League for the first time since 1999, winning 11 of its last 13 with the two losses coming to top-10 Tennessee and Rutgers. Individually, Meagan has earned Ivy League Player of the Week honors twice this year and scored 59 points over two games against Columbia and Cornell on Jan. 13-14, the last weekend Princeton played.
While both Meagan and Bill Cowher have this weekend away from competition, next weekend will be a busy one. Meagan and the Tigers visit Yale on Friday, Feb. 3 and Brown on Saturday, Feb. 4 before Meagan heads to Detroit to watch her father coach in Super Bowl XL on Sunday, Feb. 5.
