Ferrell Finishes Fourth in NCAA 3,000 Meters

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Princeton's Cack Ferrell earned another All-America honor Saturday night when she finished fourth overall in the 3,000 meters at the NCAA Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships at Arkansas's Tyson Track.
Ferrell, Princeton's lone representative at the meet, completed the race in nine minutes, 13.42 seconds.
Northern Arizona's Johanna Nilsson won the event in a time of 9:06.61, while Providence's Mary Cullen was second in 9:10.22. Stanford's Arianna Lambie was just ahead of Ferrell in third place in 9:11.40.
Ferrell, a senior from Minneapolis, finished well ahead of two other Ivy League representatives in the event. Harvard sophomore Lindsey Scherf was ninth in 9:26.36, while Yale's Lindsay Donaldson was 17th in 9:37.61.
