Princeton Women's Water Polo Picks Up Two Wins

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. - The 18th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team ran its record to 11-3 with two wins on Tuesday against Cal State Monterey Bay and Sonoma State. The Tigers took the opener 15-8 against CSUMB as Jessica Ajoux scored four goals. In the second game, Samantha Shaughnessy led the offense with three goals.
In the opener Princeton jumped to an early lead and maintained it throughout the game. Princeton led 6-2 after one period and 10-2 at the half. Claire Jacobson and Kara Murphy each scored three goals in the game while Maegan Zitren scored twice. Shannon DeVore made 12 saves for the win.

Princeton piced up its second win of the afternoon later in the day with a 10-9 triumph against Sonoma State. Shaughnessy led the offense with three goals, while Karina Reyner added two goals. Five others added a single goal. Natalie Kim made 11 saves in the win.
