PRINCETON - New men's lightweight head coach Greg Hughes knew his first career victory would come sooner or later, but he definitely wanted it in his home debut. His team responded, sweeping the three-race regatta and claiming the Fosburgh Cup with a first varsity win over Georgetown.
The first varsity boat finished in 5:47.8, topping Georgetown's time of 5:52.5. The Tigers also claimed wins in the second varsity (6:14.7) and the first novice race (6:14.9). Both wins came by more than eight second apiece.
Princeton is off next weekend and will stay home on Lake Carnegie to compete for the Platt Cup vs. Cornell/Rutgers on April 15.
