Women's Water Polo Claims ECAC Championship With Win

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The 19th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team topped Bucknell 9-6 on Sunday afternoon to win its second consecutive ECAC Championship. Elyse Colgan scored two goals in the win and was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Princeton has now won the ECAC Championship in six of the last eight years.
On Sunday, Princeton and Bucknell stayed close through halftime as Princeton led 4-3 at the midway point before pulling ahead with three goals in the third period. Joining Colgan with two goals in the game were Claire Jacobson, Karina Reyner and Carolina Ardila. Natalie Kim made 12 saves in the win, which was Princeton's third of the season against Bucknell.
Princeton faces Maryland next Saturday night.
