PRINCETON - The No. 1 Princeton men's heavyweight crew made another statement Saturday morning, topping No. 4 Brown by more than five seconds on Lake Carnegie. The Bears claimed the other three races, but Princeton showed that the present belonged to the Orange and Black, which completed a perfect home season with its senior-laden crew.
Princeton earned a 7-6 overall edge in the Content Cup by finishing in 5:54.1, while the fourth-ranked Bears finished in 5:59.4. That was the biggest margin of victory for any of the eight-man races, which included a 2.4-second win for the Brown second varsity.
Princeton will complete its regular season at Navy before turning its focus on both the Eastern and IRA titles.
