Women's Water Polo Falls in Eastern Quarterfinals; Will Play for Third Tomorrow

PROVIDENCE - Sixteenth-ranked Michigan scored three unanswered goals early in the fourth quarter to snap a 5-5 tie and defeat the 20th-ranked Princeton women's water polo team on Saturday night in the semifinal round of the 2006 CWPA Eastern Championships. Carolina Ardila had two goals in the game to lead the Tigers.
The loss dropped Princeton to 19-6 on the season and puts the Tigers in tomorrow's third-place game against Bucknell at 12 noon. The game was extremely tight through three quarters as neither team led by more than one goal and there were four ties.
In addition to Ardila's pair of goals, Elyse Colgan, Karina Reyner and Jazmon Brown all added goals. Natalie Kim made 10 saves in the cage.
