Prepare For '06 Football Campaign By Reliving '05 Memories
July 25, 2006 | Football
With training camp looming near and the 137th season of Princeton Tiger football just around the corner, it is the perfect time to relive some of the exciting memories of the 2005 season. A 7-3 campaign that featured two thrilling road wins at Harvard and Penn, as well as an overtime win over Cornell, can be remembered in seven exciting minutes during the Princeton highlight film, which is now available on GoPrincetonTigers.com.
To find the video, go to the football section of the Princeton athletics web site. On the right side, under football links, is the "2005 Princeton Highlight Film." It includes some of the most exciting plays of the season, from the 93-yard kickoff return at Harvard by Jay McCareins to Jon Dekker barrelling through several Cornell defenders on his way to the end zone.
And while those two, along with 2005 co-captains Ben Brielmaier and Justin Stull, are partaking in NFL training camps right now, there are plenty of memorable moments from returning Tigers as well. Quarterback Jeff Terrell, running back Rob Toresco and defensive back Tim Strickland are among the many current players who were integral parts of the wild ride last season, just as they should be again this year.
GoPrincetonTigers.com will be your best source for preseason news on the oldest program in college football, from the announcement of the 2006 media poll on August 8th to features on both sides of the ball during preseason camp. It all will lead to opening day, when Princeton resumes its series with Lehigh on Sat., Sept. 16, in Bethlehem, Pa.
