August 15, 2006 | Men's Tennis
Five Princeton men's tennis players, as well as the 2005-06 Tigers as a whole, have earned academic honors for the 2005-06 season as announced recently by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA).
Graduating senior Andrew Lieu, rising senior Sratha Saengsuwarn, rising junior Mark Gober and rising sophomores Peter Capkovic and Jeff Luse all earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors. Those accolades are given to members of the varsity tennis team that finished 2005-06 with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better for the academic year.
As a team, the Tigers earned ITA All-Academic Team honors, given to intercollegiate teams with a combined grade-point average of 3.2 or better for the 2005-06 academic year.
The Princeton men's tennis team finished the 2005-06 spring season with a 7-13 overall record and a 2-5 mark in Ivy League play. The Tigers begin 2006-07 competition on Sept. 22, when they begin play at the annual Farnsworth/Princeton Invitational at the Lenz Center.
