Vreeland Named CWPA Southern Player of the Week

Princeton sophomore Eric Vreeland was named the Collegiate Water Polo Association's Southern Player of the Week on Tuesday after he scored 11 goals and added eight assists in five games over the weekend.
A utility player, Vreeland earned the Southern Division Player of the Week award for his 17 points (11 goals and eight assists) in five games at the Princeton Invitational. He helped lead the Tigers to a 4-1 record as the Tigers scored 13 or more goals in all five games. His best performance of the week came against eighth-ranked Pacific when he registered a weekend-high five goals in a narrow 16-15 loss. He also added three goals and four assists in a win against Iona (17-7 W) and two goals in a win against George Washington (13-6 W).
